How Lead Form Filtering Can Improve Quality of Your Leads Ads
Meta's lead form filtering feature is a powerful tool designed to enhance lead quality in Facebook advertising campaigns. This feature allows advertisers to pre-qualify leads by asking multiple-choice questions before form submission.
What is Lead Filtering?
Lead filtering enables marketers to pose qualifying questions at the beginning of lead forms. Prospects who answer correctly can proceed with form completion, while those selecting wrong answers cannot submit the form.
This mechanism helps reduce time wasted on unqualified prospects.
Setup Instructions
The setup process involves three steps:
- Campaign Level: Select "Instant Forms" as your lead form type
- Ad Set Level: Choose "Instant Forms" from available options
- Ad Level: Create new form and add multiple-choice questions with the Lead Filtering toggle enabled
Asking the Right Questions
Advertisers can customize questions with at least two answer options. For each answer, you designate whether that selection qualifies or disqualifies the prospect.
Qualified leads receive messaging and can be redirected to the next funnel stage, while unqualified prospects see a customized rejection message.
Alternative Solution: Zapier
For accounts without this feature yet, Zapier integration offers a filtering workaround. Once leads submit their information, Zapier processes and filters responses, helping sales teams identify priority contacts.
